Although it was two weeks past my birthday, our lovely friend created a fantastic experience for us at the Back Bay restuaurant where she works. Our meal at 33 involved course after course of tasty samples of things I don't even plan to "make someday." Most notably, I tried duck confit for the first time and was blown away. Actually, most notably was the customized dessert platter that surprised both John and I at the end of our meal:
Many thanks to Quenia for treating us like royalty, despite the post-birthday/pre-anniversary date! (After we quickly sampled the desserts, we rolled across the street to see Man of La Mancha at the Lyric Stage Company!)
